About Me
Hello, my name is Ellie and I have been a primary school teacher for 10 years.
I have the most experience in Early Years and Key Stage 1, working with children from 3 to 6.
I am currently in Reception and have no plans to move phase. I have recently become an Early Years Lead after completing a National Professional Qualification in Early Years Leadership. I will be leading and supporting 1 nursery with children from 2-4 years old, as well as 3 reception classes (one of which I will also be teaching).
I'd love to support children outside of school with different areas of the curriculum in a fun and engaging way.
I believe that not everyone can learn everything with the same amount of ease so its important to find a child's interests and passions and use these to make learning enjoyable whatever the subject.
I have a nurturing, kind and patient disposition and over my 10 years of teaching have come to understand a multitude of different ways in which children learn and have many ideas of how to engage them and support them in a range of areas.
My Experience
I have worked in primary for 10 years after completing a degree in Photography and a PGCE in Primary Education.
I began teaching in a school nursery in London for 3 years. I loved making learning fun and practical and having the time to talk with the children about a range of topics from special occasions to what they ate for breakfast.
I then moved to Year 1 and was there for 3 years, including preparing the children for the phonics screening as well as organising home learning during the covid lockdowns, supporting not just the children but their families too, in how to help continue their learning whilst at home.
I spent 1 year in Year 4 when I moved to Maidstone and finally made my way back to the early years, having spent the last 3 years in Reception.
I have enjoyed all years I have taught but most of my knowledge and skills lie mainly in Early Years and Year 1, supporting children in learning practically and using resources to make it more interesting and fun.
My Qualifications
I have a degree in Photography, a PGCE in Primary Education and an NPQ in Early Years Leadership.
I have also had training in Read, Write, Inc. phonics and first aid training.
My Availability
I am available most school holidays and during the day most weekends aswell as evenings from 5 or 6pm.

My Fees
- Babysitting from £15.00 per hour
- Tutoring from £30.00 per hour
This can be negotiable. Happy to offer a discount for regular hours or a set amount of visits for phonics preparation or recapping particular topics.
