My Summary
About Me

With a Forest School background, this has influenced many principles into daily nannying by encouraging child-led exploration, outdoor play, and nature-based learning to support confidence, independence, and holistic development.
Skilled in creating a fun, nurturing environment that encourages growth and development. First Class honors degree in Early Years, First Aid certified & Designated Safeguarding officer trained with a proven record of strong communication with parents and children alike.
My Experience
I work as a Deputy in a Bristol-based Forest school three days a week. I strive to encourage children to connect with nature and become confident, resilient and independent learners. To provide weekly planning for the team and deliver engaging outdoor sessions for children, incorporating weekly themes and natural play experiences for children, with a significant focus on outdoor activities. Create a safe, happy, and inclusive environment where children can develop independence, strong values, and a love of learning. Additionally, I am responsible for leading safeguarding practices, to work alongside the Lead as a point of contact for concerns, implementing policies, supporting staff, and liaising with external agencies to ensure the safety and well-being of children and young people.
Moreover, I am a nanny for a wonderful family of 6 (Including a dog). I care for three children ages 4, 7, 9 part-time where I provide attentive and nurturing care in their home setting, supporting their physical, emotional and development needs. I plan activities, usually on a weekly basis following a theme, this would be delivered in a Forest School–inspired learning through nature-based exploration, taking children on outdoor adventures, educational trips.
I work closely with parents to ensure consistent care and clear communication, often contributing to early learning and social development. I plan and manage daily routines for children, including school runs, after-school clubs, mealtimes, and wind-down activities, ensuring consistency, structure, and a calm environment and take part in light housekeeping and laundry related to the children.
During half terms, I work as a manager at a Forest School Holiday Club, where I work for children aged 5-11 years to deliver fun-filled days in the woods, being responsible for planning, leading, and managing outdoor, nature-based holiday programs for children, ensuring a safe, engaging, and enriching environment. Duties include overseeing daily operations at Westbury Wildlife Park, cooking snacks on the fire and delivering a different theme each day.
Occasionally, I work as a Senior Nanny at Pitch up and Play, where I collaborate within a team to provide childcare services for children of all ages that offer drop-in creches, indoor and outdoor play areas and tailored entertainment for a variety of events including community workshops and corporate functions and weddings. I supervise childcare staff, overseeing the set up and management of various events, and acting as the primary client liaison to ensure specific event needs are met.
