About Me

I’m a 33-year-old single mum of one, living on the Wirral.
I’m a kind, patient, and loving person with over 14 years experience caring for others. I spent most of my career working at Arrowe Park Hospital, supporting patients with compassion and professionalism. I have also worked in the community caring for both adults and children with disabilities, a role I found incredibly rewarding.

Caring has always been a part of my life. Growing up, my mum fostered many children, and from my teenage years I became a second carer to a young girl to help in supporting her. These experiences shaped me into someone who listens deeply, understands emotions, and responds with empathy.

More recently, I changed career paths into the aesthetics industry, managing clinics and training. While I’ve enjoyed this role, I would love to return to what I enjoy most—helping and caring for others.

As a mum to my wonderful 8-year-old daughter, I regularly arrange days out and trips for her and her friends or younger family members. I love keeping children engaged, entertained, and happy. If your children are a similar age, I’d be delighted for them to join in activities when suitable.

While I don’t hold recent childcare qualifications, I have extensive life experiences, a genuine passion for supporting others, and the ability to provide a safe, nurturing, and fun environment.

I have held an up-to-date DBS check since I was 18 (currently expired but happy to renew immediately). I hold a full, clean UK driving licence and have owned my own vehicle since I was 17, with no accidents or points.

I would be honoured to bring my warmth, reliability, and care to your family.

My Experience

I studied Health and Social Care at A-level, which covered a range of topics about caring for people of all ages and gave me an understanding of the skills and qualities needed in a care role. During this time, I also gained hands-on experience in a children’s nursery, supporting staff and helping to create a safe, fun, and engaging environment for young children.

Growing up in a fostering household gave me first-hand experience of caring for children from a variety of backgrounds, many of whom had experienced difficult starts in life. From my teenage years, I acted as a second carer to one of the children my mum fostered, providing daily support, helping with routines, offering emotional reassurance, and creating a stable, nurturing environment. This experience taught me how to adapt to different personalities, respond with patience and empathy, and handle challenging situations calmly—all skills that are invaluable in a childcare role.

Working in the community as a carer, supporting vulnerable adults and children with disabilities. This role required patience, adaptability, and a deep understanding of individual needs, ensuring that each person received the right balance of care, encouragement, and independence. I was responsible for administering medication safely and accurately, ensuring their health needs were met with attention and care.

I worked as a Nursing Assistant at Arrowe Park Hospital for 14 years, where I received extensive training in patient care, infection control, safeguarding, and first aid. My role involved supporting patients with daily tasks, monitoring their health and wellbeing, and responding calmly in emergency situations. These skills translate well to childminding and babysitting, as they have taught me to remain calm and patient, act quickly and responsibly in emergencies, and provide attentive, nurturing care. I’m confident in creating a safe and supportive environment where children’s health, safety, and emotional needs are always a priority.

I have many more life experiences that I haven’t detailed here, but I’ve focused on those most relevant and suitable to this childcare role.
