About Me
We are a family of 4. My husband is a professional working in London, while I am currently at home. Our son is 8 year old and our daughter is nearly 5. They are happy and contented little boy and girl who have been brought up in calm and loving surroundings.
We have been having 3 live in au pairs in the past and these have been a very positive experience: two moved on to find a full time job in UK while one went back to her home country to follow a university degree in childcare.
We live in a small and quiet town in a green and leafy area, but are also very well located for Central London which is easily reachable with fast train connections from Orpington station, a 6 minute bus journey from our house, with London Bridge 15 minutes, Waterloo East 20 minutes, Cannon Street and Charing Cross 25 minutes, and also fast connection to Victoria which is 16 minutes from Bromley South station, a 12 minutes bus journey from our house.
The nanny/au pair will have her own apartment, located on the top floor of the house and composed of:
- Bedroom with walkâin wardrobe, en-suite bathroom, satellite tv
- Large kitchen/living room
All of which are located on the top floor of the house and separate to the other bedrooms and day living area which are on the floors below.
My Requirements
We are currently looking for a live in nanny/au pair who is independent and mainly interested in receiving accomodation in exchange for some help with babysitting. This will fit well a nanny/au pair which has her own commitments during the day as the babysitting is only required in the evenings and weekend.
We have a nanny on weekdays and are looking for an additional live in nanny/au pair to provide additional help at weekends and on some weekdays for school pickup of our 8y old son.
The au pair will be required on Saturday and Sunday from 12pm to 5pm. Her tasks will be helping with lunch preparation and tidy up, then playing with our 5 year old for a couple of hours while I will also be in the house doing homework with the elder one.
On weekdays, we will require some help for school pickup of our elder son Monday to Wednesday, but we will leave you Thursday and Friday evenings free. On Monday you will be required to pickup our son at 5pm directly from school (by train), while Tuesday and Wednesday the pickup will be at 5pm from the school coach stop (10 minutes walking distance). You will then need you to supervise him while he gets changed and has dinner.
We also have a cleaner but would require household help during the week mainly involving running washing, hanging and folding clothes, tidy up of toys, small errands from time to time. You will be responsible for cleaning your own room and kitchen. You will be expected to take care of your own meals in the upstairs kitchen.
