My Experience

I have worked in education and social care, supporting children, students, and staff with diverse learning needs. My journey began as a lecturer in Childhood Studies, where I trained future educators and gained invaluable insights into learning differences and developmental challenges.
When both of my sons were diagnosed with dyslexia—each presenting in their own unique way—I sought solutions beyond traditional approaches. In 2005, I trained as a Specific Learning Difficulties teacher and, during that time, discovered the Ron Davis book The Gift of Dyslexia. I implemented his strategies with my sons, and the transformation was incredible. They thrived in their independence, achieved exceptionally well, and to this day, still use the Davis tools. As they often say, “The Davis methods gave us the perfect strategies to enhance learning in our own ways.”
Seeing the life-changing impact on my own family, I knew I had to give back. Now, as a licensed Davis Dyslexia Facilitator, I bring together my lifelong teaching experience, a BSc (Hons.) in Psychology and Child Development, and my passion for helping individuals overcome learning challenges. My mission is to support not just those with dyslexia, but also individuals with dyscalculia, ADD, ADHD, dysgraphia, and other neurodivergent profiles who find traditional learning environments challenging.
As one of my adult clients wisely shared, “To make a person successful at fishing, don’t give him a fish. Give him a rod and show him how to fish.” That’s exactly what the Davis methods do—empower individuals with lifelong tools for success.
I am fully licensed, insured, and DBS-certified for safeguarding children and vulnerable adults. I am also a proud member of the British Psychological Society.

My Fees

• Tutoring from £50.00 per hour

£59.50 ph (includes travel within a 10 mile radius).
Parental commitment in process is a must - fee include support training to parents or helper
