My Experience

I have worked at an after school club working with children ages from reception up until year 6. This included taking the child too and from school & take them back to the after school club where they were in my care: feeding them some snacks, helping out with homework and looking after them until a family member arrives.

I have worked at a nursery for 5 years with all different ages; which includes babies, toddlers and pre schoolers. I created a fun stimulating environment for the children while also keeping up to date with all the paperwork. I created fun activities; such as making our own play dough, arts and crafts, baking, messy play. But also educational side which includes, numbers and phonics with all the older children. I had key children and observed them to create a learning story for them with their next steps. I worked in partnership with the parents and created that relationship so they were able to continue this back at home and they were able to come to me with any questions.

I have been a nanny for 6 years now with various different ages; babies, toddlers, twins, pre schoolers and looking after more than one child at a time. I have been able to take the children out to days out such as; Chessington, Legoland, Wellington country park. I have been able to take the children to their daily classes; forest school, soft play, dance and singing classes. I have been able? to form relationships with other Nanny’ and the children they look after so we are able to have that socialisation for the children in my care. At home, I plan and create activities based on the children’s interests and create fun activities such as messy play in the garden, out door play. I followed and developed a routine which fitted in lunch and sleep time but also all the fun bits in the day! My nanny career has been part of the family, which I have loved.

I have got house keeping experience; hoovering and mopping, emptying the bins, loading and unloading the dishwasher, cleaning the sides, families washing and organising the play room.

I have been in charge of running errands such as post office trips, sorting out classes and dog walking.
