I am a lawyer who has recently unexpectedly retired. I am positive, trustworthy, dependable, patient, highly organised and flexible. I enjoy looking after children and especially helping primary school aged children with their homework, reading, and writing. I can help with piano practice. I love animals, especially dogs, and going to the park on walks.
My Experience
I have an adult son. I have looked after children over the years including twin girls from the ages of 1-12 and recently a 7 year old girl and her 3 year old brother. I am happy to cook heathy meals and to do fun baking. Ideally I would like to help one family and help with the development of their child / children. I would like to be like a "surrogate grandmother" for the family I assist..
My Qualifications
Retired lawyer (Barrister-at-Law & Law Degree) I am looking for a change of career. I have had a First Aid certificate in the past and am happy to renew it / obtain a paediatric First Aid Certificate, I am happy to apply for a DBS check. I brought up my own son and have looked after other children.
My Availability
I am flexible. Initially I am looking for a part time / after school / babysitting position. Having juggled work and childcare myself I am only too aware that plans change and I am happy to accommodate last minute changes.
