About Me
Hi there! My name is Flora and I live in the Abbeyhill area of Edinburgh. I have lived in Edinburgh for about three years now, having completed my Masters degree at the university in 2023. I'd describe myself as empathetic, friendly and always keen to laugh with others.
At the moment, I work part-time in the mental health support sector, leaving my evenings and weekends open for part-time childcare.
Outside of work, I enjoy reading, sewing clothes, swimming, and spending time with my friends. I also volunteer at a mental health helpline every now and then, which I have done for several years now.
My Experience
In my various roles in mental health support work, I have consistently shown empathy, patience and an ability to remain calm in challenging situations. Growing up, I volunteered with children's groups at my local library every weekend, and often looked after the two young daughters of my neighbour after school and occasionally on weekends. I have volunteered with a student mental health helpline for three years, and I ran this helpline for a 12 month period in 2023.
My Qualifications
I have a PVG certificate for both adults and children, as well as a DBS check.
My Availability
I am free on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays after 5pm. I am free on Wednesdays after 2:30pm. I am free all day on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
