About Me
I have 32 years experience in child care and am qualified as children’s nanny with a Btec level 3 National diploma in child care / nursery nursing. I hold a Food handlers and hygiene certification also children’s First aid, which by date have elapsed but the skills are still retained.
I am capable, dependable, caring, supportive and trustworthy.
With experience with newborns, toddlers, preschoolers right the way up to teens and beyond.
I have been married for 30 years and live at home with my husband and 2 of my 3 children, one son has moved in to his own home with girlfriend and dog!
I LOVE animals and have 3 cats, 2 dogs, and a wood mouse that my cats brought back as a little baby with its eyes still fused closed, my daughter and I took terns to syringe feed him warm goat milk ever 2 hours until we could wean him onto nuts and seeds!
Now that my children are grown I am looking to return to work being a live out sole charge children’s nanny.
My Experience
My experience is extensive and gained over 32 years including motherhood and have 3 grown up children, twin boys and a daughter and as such have knowledge in:
Multiple births (twins)
Bottle and Breast feeding.
Weaning.
Potty/toilet training.
Bedtime routines.
Going to pre school.
Preparing for school.
Helping with homework
And beyond……..
I have children’s first aid certificates which although expired by the date that knowledge is still retained!
I hold a full driving licence and have my own car that is maintained what ever the cost!
As a sole charge nanny my week consists of preparing meals / feeding infants dressing, changing preparing bottles and other feeding utensils for over night use by parents. Keeping the nursery and play room safe and clean while maintaining a busy schedule of age appropriate activities including art, baking, learning through play at home and in nature also socially beneficial outings such as swimming, soft play centre visits, play dates, park and nature walks, library visits and attending toddler groups.
I even had the children at my own home for a few days or over weekends when parents went away together for wedding anniversaries / mini breaks together.
I have written references from past employment and have kept in contact with two of the families for over the last 32 years - my little charges are now fully grown men and women! These previous employers are happy to accept communication for references.
The other families I have worked for have since moved out of the area and sadly lost contact ( it has been 25 years)
My Qualifications
Btec (level 3) National Diploma in child care / Nursery Nursing.
Food hygiene and handlers certification.
Children’s first aid.
Full driving licence.
My Availability
I am available for work immediately and would consider working full or part time, with in an approximate 10 mile radius of Melton Mowbray.
I would also consider occasional extra weekend work.

My Fees
- Nannying from £13.00 per hour (gross)
£13 per hour - 1 child under 5
£14 per hour - 2 children under 5
£15 per hour - 3 children under 5
Mileage allowance for use of my car to take children on outings.
