About Me
Hi! I’m a Medical Engineering student at the University of York, and I’m looking child-care work and am happy to help make your life easier. I have my own car and a clean driving record, so I’m happy to help with school pick-ups, drop-offs, or taking children to clubs and activities.
Although I don’t have formal childcare experience, I’m great with children and love spending time with them! Whether that’s helping with homework, playing games, or keeping them company after school. I am also happy to help with primary school work as I received 11 GCSEs at grades 8 and 9.
My Experience
While I haven’t worked professionally as a nanny or babysitter before, I have informal experience caring for and spending time with children through family and friends.
I’m confident supporting children with homework, reading, and creative activities, and I’m comfortable managing school routines such as pick-ups, drop-offs, and after-school care.
As an engineering student, I’m organised, practical, and calm under pressure — skills that help me create a safe and positive environment for kids.
My Qualifications
• Currently in my second year studying Medical Engineering at the University of York
• Achieved 11 GCSEs (all grade 8 and 9)
• Earned 3 Bs in Maths, Chemistry and Biology at A’level
• Full UK driving licence and access to my own car
• Excellent organisational, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Confident supporting children with homework and tutoring, especially in STEM subjects
My Availability
• School drop-offs: Available every weekday (Monday–Friday)
• School pick-ups: Available on Wednesdays and Thursdays
• Evenings:
• Wednesdays & Thursdays: Available from school pick-up through the evening
• Mondays, Tuesdays & Fridays: Available after 6pm
I’m also happy to discuss additional hours during weekends or school holidays if needed.
