About Me
I am a 24 year old recent graduate and I am passionate about working with children and young people, I am looking for part time work alongside my current role at The Yard in Edinburgh. I have extensive mentoring experience mainstream children and I have been a support worker for children with disabilities. I am a very active person - I love running and going to the gym, I also love to read and to paint! I am a very outgoing and bubbly individual, however I am able to be firm and maintain boundaries when required.
My Experience
Most recently, I spent the last year working two part time jobs in Glasgow - a Project Leader for a children’s mentoring charity and a support worker for children with additional support needs. Beyond this, I volunteered for two years as a weekly mentor for P6/7 children, and volunteered for three months as a play worker in northern France. Finally, I babysat on an as-required basis for 10+ families from the ages of 14-18! I have recently accepted a part-time job as a support worker with The Yard in Edinburgh, a children’s disability service.
My Qualifications
I am registered with the SSSC and have undergone extensive training in social care. I have also undergone training on mentoring, safeguarding, and leadership.
My Availability
I am available afternoons and evenings, but I cannot start work until 7pm on Fridays and Saturdays due to my other role!
