My Summary

My Experience

I have over 12 years experience working in the childcare sector and I have got a Level 3 Diploma in Children's and young people's workforce. I do not currently have a DBS as it ran out when I left my last role which was in September 2025, but I have never been convicted of any offences I am of course very happy to obtain a new DBS as well as registering with the update service, furthermore during my career I have done all kinds of additional training including paediatric first aid, unfortunately I do need to update this as my previous certificate expired earlier this year, which of course I will commence before any start of employment. This has includes roles in day nurseries, where I have worked across all age groups and in various roles with different levels of responsibility, from trainee nursery nurse to Learning support coordinator and all the in-between including leadership roles. I have a lot of understanding and knowledge of key early years development and can implement my care to always support the child's development and learning, doing it at the child's pace and based on their child's own interests. I have also worked for a few private families, of whom I have found on this website, I have had both sole charge of the children and also done shared care with the parents and carers. Some of the roles were only temporary and some were longer term. During my time as a nanny I have done an array of duties including the day to day care of a maximum of 2 children, plus nursery duties such as toy and clothing organisation etc. I have also cooked a variety of family dinners and also enjoy baking, especially if I can get the children involved. I have done nursery and school runs plus taken children to various activities and clubs outside the home. Finally I have also worked in schools as a Teaching assistant, working closely with the class teacher to provide support to children in their learning, during my time in school I gained some experience working with and supporting children with additional educational needs.
Before I worked in childcare I worked as a carer for the elderly for many of my early adult years, this therefore shows that I have a passion for caring for people of different ages, abilities and backgrounds.

My Qualifications

I have a Level 3 Diploma in Children's and Young People's workforce.
I will also have my Pediatric First Aid in place prior to any commencement of role and my last one has ran out. I am also looking into doing various of online courses related to children, my particular favourite topics are Child Psychology and am always looking into different modern methods and learning techniques as they emerge in the ever changing world of child development and what we know about how children develop. I am also interested in learning about Mindfulness with Children and I have done some music and movement classes in some of settings as well as yoga sessions focusing on children being aware of their bodies and breathing exercises. I have also taught maths as a teaching assistant to a small group of SEN children at a year 3 level.

My Availability

I am available Tuesdays onwards due a personal commitment on a Monday. I am happy to do a mixture of childcare, housekeeping and general help of the organisation of families busy schedules.

My Fees

• Babysitting from £14.00 per hour
• Nannying from £14.00 per hour (gross)

I charge around £14 per hour per family, I do not charge for families with multiple children or additional/special needs, I include house keeping plus any pet care if required in my price rate. Also I am happy to supply my own car seats and or pushchairs for added convenience so that you can keep your own in your cars with no hassle of moving them across constantly. I am also happy if I have a fun activity planned and need additional supplies I am happy to supply these as part of the rate. I am happy to run errands for the right family so families can have quality time together and I will charge a small additional fee of £2 per day for extra petrol money. Also of course if you do want me to take children to classes, groups etc I am happy to pay for memberships and manage these, but I would like to be reimbursed the amount in addition to my wages.
For babysitting I charge the same rate however for every hour after midnight I charge an additional £2 per hour
