My Experience

Hello! I’m a newly qualified childminder with a background as a registered mental health nurse. Caring for and supporting others has always been at the centre of my life, and becoming a childminder has allowed me to bring that same compassion and understanding into working with children.
My experience as a mental health nurse has given me a strong foundation in emotional wellbeing, communication, and child development. I understand how important it is for children to feel safe, heard, and valued — and I use those skills every day in my childminding setting.
I’ve created a warm, homely environment where children can play, learn, and grow at their own pace. I plan activities that encourage imagination, curiosity, and independence while also supporting emotional and social development. I believe in gentle guidance, positive encouragement, and helping children develop confidence and resilience through play and exploration.
Working closely with parents is really important to me. I aim to build open, trusting relationships so that together, we can give each child the best start possible. I’m always happy to chat about your child’s day, progress, or anything that’s on your mind — I see my role as an extension of your family’s care and support network.

My Qualifications

I’m a newly qualified Ofsted-registered childminder, having completed all the required childminding and Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) training. I hold up-to-date paediatric first aid, safeguarding, and food hygiene certificates to ensure every child in my care is safe, healthy, and well supported.
Before becoming a childminder, I trained and worked as a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) within the NHS. This background has given me valuable skills in understanding emotional wellbeing, behaviour, and individual needs. I bring that knowledge into my childcare practice — supporting children not only with their learning and development but also with their emotional confidence and self-esteem.
Together, my qualifications in healthcare and early years education allow me to provide a safe, nurturing, and holistic environment where children can thrive both emotionally and developmentally.

My Fees

• Babysitting from £10.00 per hour
• Childminding from £10.00 per hour

My fees are designed to be fair, transparent, and reflect the high-quality care and learning environment I provide.
