About Me
I am 59 years old & have recently retired from work. I have 3 children & 6 grandchildren, one of whom has special educational needs, as she suffers from a very rare complex syndrome.
My Experience
I have lots of experience & patience with a child with special needs as I look after my grand-daughter on a regular basis. She has RHOB TB2 syndrome (global developmental delay) which means she is non-verbal, autistic, suffers with epilepsy & has the development of a 10 month old child. I look after Pippa on a regular basis, so feel I have the knowledge, experience & patience which may come with this role. I currently am not working, but do 12 hours voluntary with vulnerable adults. I enjoy helping people, getting to know them & hopefully, making a real difference to their lives.
My Qualifications
I do not have any appropriate qualifications in childcare/special educational needs care, but do have a wealth of practical experience.
My Availability
As below, but can always juggle voluntary hours accordingly.
