About Me

I am hard-working and resilient with a cheerful personality. I am assertive and able to think on my feet in a variety of situations. I am a fast learner. Furthermore, I am responsible and caring as I devote much of my time to caring for the children I have and still do babysit and Nanny (ages ranging from 8 months - 13 years old) and my many pets. I have also worked in a Nursery with many ages and as part of a proactive team. I am extremely approachable and able to relate to all people easily. I have a good understanding of children’s five key rights: choice, confidentiality, equal and fair treatment, protection from harm and abuse and consultation as I have studied this for my Cambridge National in Health and Social Care. This knowledge will ensure that all children feel safe, empowered and secure in my company. I am passionate about working with children, helping with their learning and development and putting them on their own unique paths to success as well as making sure they are having fun and enjoying themselves.

These personal qualities, my education and my experiences to date have equipped me with the skills I need to work as a valuable chilcare giver.

Previously, I have also volunteered as a childcare supervisor for a Primary School for their after school club. Here, I also had an Advanced DBS Check. I loved being able to assist with the exciting activities we carried out for the children and loved seeing how much the children enjoyed it. I have also had work experience at another Primary School where I was a Teaching Assistant. This was an amazing experience as I was able to aid the teacher with her work. I also acted as a substitute 1 to 1 carer for two boys with Autism and ADHD. This was an invaluable position as I had to be very patient, understanding and quick-witted. I had to keep them entertained and find creative ways to further their learning as well as having excellent listening skills. I also currently Nanny/Babysit a boy with ADHD and undiagnosed Autism and have done so for 6 years now and have built a very good relationship with him and his parents. I have loved watching him grow up and being a part of his journey. I allow him to be able to express his emotions and be himself. He loves running about and playing Nerf wars and water fights in the summer, baking cookies, going swimming, having movie nights, painting, drawing, crafting and much more! I am a very understanding and empathetic person and this has helped me to be an excellent care giver.

I have many creative skills and I am a talented artist. I also love to cook, bake, sing, game, read and socialise with my friends, family and new people. I am also always trying to make the world a better place. I also have lots of experience with animals, big and small, so if there is any need for animal care I will be happy to help.

Furthermore, I have had many different jobs and a varienty of experience with lots of different skills which makes me very versatile and able to transfer these skills and qualities to any job.

Overall, I feel like I would bring a great variety of skills to entertain your children and provide them the best environment possible.
