My Experience

I have built a solid foundation in childcare through a combination of family responsibility, hands-on roles, and formal work experience. As the older sibling to five younger sisters and one brother, I have spent many years caring for children at different stages, from helping with daily routines to managing school schedules, homework, and playtime.

I completed work experience at a nursery, where I supported early-years staff in supervising children, assisting with activities, maintaining a safe environment, and encouraging learning through play. This experience helped me understand early childhood development and the importance of patience, structure, and communication.

For over a year, I provided consistent care for a four-year-old girl. My responsibilities included early-morning care, school drop-offs and pick-ups, organizing meals, supervising activities, and ensuring she felt supported and secure throughout the day. This role required reliability, calm under pressure, and the ability to manage a structured 12-hour routine from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday to Friday.

Alongside my practical experience, I have studied child psychology, which strengthens my understanding of children’s behaviour, emotional needs, and developmental stages. This background helps me connect with children in a thoughtful, patient, and positive way.

My Qualifications

I have studied child psychology, giving me a strong understanding of children’s emotional development, behaviour, and learning needs. This helps me communicate effectively with children of different ages and support them in a calm, patient, and thoughtful way.

My hands-on experience caring for children, from my five younger siblings to nursery work experience and long-term childcare for a four-year-old, has strengthened my ability to manage routines, handle responsibilities independently, and respond to children’s needs with confidence.

I am also familiar with household routines, meal preparation, school schedules, and maintaining a safe, structured environment where children feel secure and supported.

My Availability

I offer flexible availability to support families with different schedules. I am available for early mornings, daytime hours, after-school care, and evening support when needed. I can also assist during school holidays or on short notice, depending on the family's requirements. My goal is to provide reliable, consistent childcare that fits smoothly into your routine.

My Fees

• Babysitting from £15.00 per hour

My rates are designed to reflect the level of care, experience, and responsibility I provide. I charge a fair hourly rate that can be adjusted depending on the number of children, the hours required, and any additional duties such as extended care or holiday support. I am happy to discuss rates openly to ensure they are comfortable for the family and reflect the level of care needed.
