About Me
I love playing, arts and crafts and den making! I have a passion for child-lead education, specialising in outdoor education.
I am currently re-training as a Forest School leader, so l'm particularly keen to find families who are interested in their children learning nature based activities such as:
- plant identification
- nature walks
- ephemeral art
- woodland den making
- animal trails
I am also happy to help with normal day-to-day activities in a home setting including school pick-ups, homework, babysitting etc.
I really care about listening to each child and helping them grow at their own pace. I have only some experience with autistic children, however I have quite a lot of experience with autistic and neurodivergent adults. I'd happily consider working with children with disabilities if I can have appropriate training and guidance from the families or carers first.
My Experience
I have been a nanny for the same family of wonderful children for nearly ten years. I am currently re-training to become a full time Forest School leader as I believe it's important future generations learn fundamental outdoor skills and have a strong connection to the planet and to nature, especially in such a digital age.
I have experience with newborns, potty training, helping learn to walk, talk, read, write, ride a bike etc as well as full time home-schooling experience throughout the pandemic among other life skills.
My Qualifications
I have more experience than qualifications, however I am DBS checked and volunteer in a school.
My Availability
I am extremely flexible, the only days I can't do are Tuesday and Wednesday after school.
