My Summary
About Me
I am known for being calm, reliable, warm, and highly observant of children’s needs. My experience in both specialist and mainstream education allows me to confidently support a wide range of abilities, personalities, and routines. Creating a home environment where children feel valued, confident, and safe is always my highest priority.
My Experience
Caring for children has been at the heart of my work for over 15 years, with experience spanning both home and school settings. Supporting children’s emotional wellbeing, confidence, and development is central to everything I do, and I take great pride in creating calm, safe, and nurturing environments where children feel secure, understood, and encouraged to grow.
My experience extends beyond nannying into education, where I have worked as a SEN Teaching Assistant, a class teacher for pupils with profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD), and as a Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant in a mainstream setting. These roles have strengthened my understanding of child development, behaviour support, communication strategies, and the importance of structured, consistent routines. Over the last two years, I have led small-group and one-to-one interventions in adaptive English, maths, and phonics, while also supporting children with speech and language needs.
As a nanny, I bring this professional knowledge into the home, blending learning and care in a natural, play-based way. I create engaging, age-appropriate activities such as reading, crafts, baking, sensory play, outdoor learning, and imaginative games, while also supporting homework, emotional regulation, and independence. I place strong emphasis on gentle boundaries, positive communication, and helping children understand and manage their emotions.
Working closely with families has built a strong appreciation for trust, discretion, and open communication. I value building strong partnerships with parents to ensure consistent care and support. Safeguarding, wellbeing, and respect for each child’s individuality are always at the centre of my practice.
