Kia ora, I am a trained teacher in my late 20s visiting UK for a working holiday. Born in England, I have lived in NZ for 20 years and have returned to spend time with my extended family who live in the midlands area.
My Experience
I have a high level of experience working with neurodiverse children and young people. I have experience as a nanny, personal assistant, teacher in a special education classroom, co-ordinator and facilitator of high-needs recreational programmes for neurodivergent kids and residential care work. I am neurodiversity affirming in all my work. I am police-vetted, with a current first-aid certificate. I am a confident AAC user, including most 'talker'/iPad apps (TouchChat, P2G, etc) and some knowledge of makaton and BSL.
