My Summary

My Experience

As part of my T-Level in Early Years, I completed 750 hours of placement, primarily in a reception class (12 hours a week for 2 years). My responsibilities included supporting the children through their independent learning and helping develop their play, leading group and one-on-one activities tailored to each child (for example, phonics, crafts, etc.), behaviour management support, and supporting lunchtime.

During the summer before moving to university, I worked full-time (35 hours a week) as a nursery practitioner, based in the 3+ room (working in the baby and 2+ room occasionally). My responsibilities included planning and leading activities for my key children that were tailored specifically to their age and stage, further developing their play, supporting toilet training and changing nappies/clothes, and supporting mealtimes (breakfast, lunch, dinner) with children aged 1-4, as well as creating exciting and stimulating activities and experiences.

Alongside my University studies, I work in a nursery, primarily in the baby room (covering in the 2+ and pre school room when needed), my responsibilities include planning engaging activities, further developing children’s play, feeding, nappy changing etc.

My Qualifications

I am Level 3 qualified in childcare (Early Years T-Level), Pediatric First Aid trained, a wide rang of child safeguarding training.

My Availability

I am looking for a position I can work alongside my studies at the University of Sheffield, I am available from 4pm Tuesday and Thursdays, and all day Saturday and Sundays.
