About Me

I am a caring, reliable, and friendly individual with a genuine love for working with children. I am currently studying Occupational Therapy, which has given me a strong understanding of child development, emotional well-being, and how to support children in a calm, nurturing, and age-appropriate way.
I am patient and attentive, and I enjoy creating a safe, fun, and engaging environment for children through play, creative activities, reading, and conversation. I am confident supporting daily routines such as meals, bedtime, homework, and playtime, while always prioritising a child’s safety and wellbeing.
Parents describe me as trustworthy, calm, and approachable. I communicate clearly with families, respect household routines and values, and understand the importance of reliability and responsibility when caring for children. I take pride in being someone both children and parents feel comfortable with.

My Experience

I have experience caring for children and young people across a range of ages through my studies in Occupational Therapy, volunteering, and previous roles working with families and young people. My experience includes supporting children with daily routines, play, learning activities, and emotional well-being in both structured and informal settings.
Through my Occupational Therapy placements, I have worked with children and teenagers, including those with additional needs such as autism, ADHD, anxiety, and emotional regulation difficulties. This has helped me develop a calm, patient, and understanding approach, particularly when supporting children who may feel overwhelmed or need extra reassurance.
I have also volunteered as a Teaching Assistant in a secondary school, supporting pupils aged 13–14 with classroom tasks, activities, and confidence building. This role strengthened my ability to engage children, encourage positive behaviour, and adapt activities to suit different abilities and interests.
In addition, I have experience supporting families in busy environments, helping with organisation, routines, and creating a safe and welcoming atmosphere. I am confident in supporting with meals, playtime, homework, bedtime routines, and ensuring children feel safe, listened to, and cared for at all times.
