About Me
Hi, I’m Izzy! I’m 20 years old and a second-year student at the University of York, currently studying Environmental Science. I’m currently looking for a babysitting job around York! I'm a warm, energetic and responsible person who genuinely loves working with children and being part of their growth and development.
I’ve been fortunate to work with children of all ages, from babies to teenagers, in roles including nannying, nursery support and summer camps both in the UK and the USA. These experiences have helped me become confident, patient and adaptable, always ensuring children feel safe, supported and encouraged to be themselves.
I’m DBS checked and fully paediatric first aid trained, and I pride myself on creating a fun, nurturing and engaging environment where children can learn, explore and thrive. I bring lots of enthusiasm, creativity and kindness to every family I work with, and I would love to support your little ones.
My Experience
I have extensive hands-on childcare experience across a variety of settings, supporting children from 6 months to 17 years old. As an In-Camp Leader, Lifeguard and Sailing Instructor in the USA, I directly supervised and mentored children aged 7–17, encouraging their confidence, independence and personal growth through outdoor, creative and team-based activities.
In the UK, I have worked as a nanny and childcare practitioner, with particular experience caring for babies and children under five. I have created stimulating, age-appropriate activities in nursery and holiday camp environments that promote learning, creativity and social development, while always maintaining a safe, nurturing atmosphere.
I am DBS qualified and hold paediatric and wilderness first aid certifications, which reflect my strong understanding of safeguarding and my ability to remain calm and capable in emergencies.
Across all of my roles, I pride myself on being warm, responsible and energetic, and I am deeply committed to supporting children’s wellbeing and helping them thrive.

I'm a University student which may mean that my availability can vary. However I receive my timetable in advance per week and am very flexible, so just let me know in advance!
My Fees
- Babysitting from £10.00 per hour
I charge £10 per hour and am happy to discuss arrangements depending on your family’s needs.
