About Me
Hello my name is Amanda and I work with a qualified assistant ( who is my daughter)have been married for 24 years and have two children aged 24 and 21 I live in Edgmond near Newport and have been an OFSTED registered childminder for 16 years. I was last ofsted inspected in 2017 and rated Good. I am also a quality assured childminder with Telford and Wrekin. I have a large setting which includes a large conservatory being entirely used for childminding also a outdoor play area . We try and go on educational walks weather permitting, on a daily basis. I work closely within the EYFS framework and closely. I also have the provision for 2 & 3 year funded children.
My Experience
I have been working in childcare for over 30years. I started out as a nanny then worked in nurseries. I have cared for children from the age of 8 weeks old. I have the relevant childcare qualifications NVQ level 3 in childcare, I regularly attend training which improves my experience.

Amanda has looked after my little boy since he was 12 weeks old, now 3. Leaving a 12 week old with anyone is not easy but Amanda was amazing, totally understood the conflict of a working mom who loves her job AND her baby, I couldn't have done it without her. Totally reliable, my son adores her and they do so much I couldn't hope to do as much if I were a stay at home mom. They go to playgroups, woodland walks, do cooking, go to jungle land occasional swimming and he just loves it! Educationally he's doing really well hitting bench marks in plenty of time but having fun too! Amanda has been really flexible with early starts and later finishes occasionally when we've really needed it. I couldn't have hoped for better support and Henry has a home from home environment which was important to us. Most importantly he's still excited on a Monday morning when Amanda collects him!
