I have been in child care since May 2000.
I spent my first 3.5years in the baby room of a lovely day nursery & from then I have been devoted to nannying & being a part of a family, a team.
My Experience
I spent my 1st 3yrs in childcare working in the baby room of plantation wharf day nursery caring for children aged 3months-2years.
In 2003 I started my 1st nanny job caring for two girls (18m & 3yrs) in Haslemere whom I was with until the children went to school in 2006.
I then did some nanny temping for 4months until I found another permanent position caring for two boys (8m & 4yrs) in Battersea. The eldest boy in this family had many allergies which I had to take into account when planning menus.
Unfortunately due to mother being made redundant I was given my notice after just 20months with them.
After a few months of searching I found a lovely family. Upon starting I took care of 1 little girl aged just over 7months old & then just over a yr later we were joined by a little sister. I was with this family for 3.5yrs before they relocated.
I then went on to care for 2 baby girls both under 1year of age as a nanny share.
After nearly 3years with my share families the girls were both ready to head off to full time nursery for a new adventure.
I am currently a nanny with a family looking after 2 boys Who are currently 4 years old & 6 years old.
I have been with them for 3.5years at present.
I’m currently with a boy 5 & girl 19months.
The children have differing needs due the age gap but we make this work.
Sadly the position is coming to an end after a short time due to mum deciding to give up work.
I moved on to a very busy household with 3 lovely children aged between 6-months-4years when the positing started.
My current family has one 17 month old & baby due shortly. The family relocated back to the UK from the USA.
The little one in my care has many allergies so with medical advice we are working on food ladders ahead of baby arriving.

NVQ Level 2 'Early years care & Education'.
