I am a fully insured Ofsted Registered Childminder, offering childcare services in a warm and friendly home environment. I live in Cotton End in a 3-bedroom house with large enclosed garden and a playroom for dedicated use to the children I care for.
I am a fun-loving and friendly person that puts your child’s needs first. Having been a full-time shift worker when my oldest was a baby, I know how important it is to find a flexible, trustworthy childminder who can help make your family's life a bit easier. I work well with others and am easy to talk to. Your child’s learning and development requirements are top priority as well as helping you as a family as much as I can.
Your child’s days will be filled with fun and activities at home, as well as trips out and about. The activities will be a mixture of child-led free play (where the children get to choose what and how they play) and activities led by me (arts, crafts, cooking and group projects). Some activities will be educational which follows the EYFS Framework.
I have a large collection of age-appropriate toys and educational resources so all can enjoy themselves.
I live with my husband, two daughters (9 years old and 4 years old), two very friendly dogs (Alfie – Labrador Cross and Pippa – Border Collie) and Izzy the cat.
I have two Childminding Assistants who both work with me.
All adults in the house hold up-to-date Enhanced DBS Certificates.
I have a large family car which will be used for trips.
I am able to drop off/pick-up from Cotton End Forest School and Pre-School.
Please contact me to discuss other pre-school/nursery school runs - these will be dependent on other children I already care for.
My Experience
I have 10 year old daughter with my second daughter born in March 2017 and have passed my Cache Level 3 with PACEY.
I have been a registered childminder since January 2018.
I have been looking after children on a babysitting basis since June 2016, including before and after school care.
I have previous experience with children in past job whereby I was in charge of running childrens' parties, including ensuring their health and safety whilst on site, providing food etc.
My Qualifications
I have completed the following qualifications:
- CACHE Level 3 - Home-based Childcare qualification with PACEY.
- Paediatric First Aid, including a certificate in Paediatric Anaphylaxis
- Food Hygiene & Safety Level 2
- Effective First Aid Management
I am a firm believer of always bettering myself in regards to the skills and qualifications I have and regularly use so that I can provide you with the reassurance that your child is being cared for in the best possible way. Therefore, I undertake learning which increases my knowledge, understanding and experiences. CPD (Continuous Professional Development) is an ongoing and planned learning and development process.
My Availability

Full availability can be provided on request.
I have a large family car with extra child car seats, so may be able to pick up from local schools depending on space in my car and already minded children.
I can provide overnight care on request in your home or in a local hotel (i.e. if you have a "no-child" wedding to attend). At this time, I am unable to provide any overnight care in my own home.
