About Me
I am a mother of 4 children including a set of twins.
I am Ofsted Registered and received a 'Good' rating in my last inspection.
I have worked with children since leaving school myself except for a short break just before I had my own family.
I have always enjoyed being around children and helping them to develop into confident young people.
Although the job can be streesful at times like most jobs, I find it to be very very rewarding and enjoy it emensly.
My Experience
Having worked as a Childminder for the last 35 years, therefore I consider myself to have a wealth of experience.
I have worked alongside children with special needs, I have worked as a Nanny, in nurseries, in preschools, I have been employed by social services to work on a one to one basis with a child with special needs and behaviour problems.
I have helped to run the Brownies, Girl Guides and Boy Scouts as well as helping with the Girls Brigade, I have also help to run Parent and Toddler groups. As well as being a parent to my own four children who have now grown up and given me grandchildren
My Qualifications
I hold a City & Guilds NVQ Level 3 qualification in Early Years Care and Education, Level $ Childcare with Open University and currently studying further to gain my Degree in Foundation Stage Early Years with the Open University. I hold various other childcare certificates from different spheres of childcaresuch as: Special needs training, Behaviour Management, First Aid, to Food hygiene all to do with the care of children. I am always looking to improve my knowledge
My Availability
My setting is usually open from 7.30am to 6.00pm Mon - Fri
I am able to serve the local school for school runs either drop off or collection
I am also willing to drop off or collect children at Pre school's or nurseries.
I am available for before and after school care only if needed.
I offer children either full time or part time care.
I can be very flexible if required
