About Me
I live in Sandhurst with my husband and our two adult daughters, a dog and a young cat.
I am registered with OFSTED and also have my husband registered as my assistant and very occasionally helps me with the children if needed. All of my family members hold full and up to date DBS checks. I hold full public liability insurance. My latest OFSTED inspection was in July 2018 and rated as Good.
My Experience
I have been a registered childminder since November 2000 and feel I have lots of experience in all aspects of home based childcare. I offer a home from home setting where your child will be looked after in caring and safe environment. I pride myself in instilling and rewarding good behaviour and manners and not focussing too much attention on the negatives. I have looked after many children in my own home over the years who, when they leave my care, have always left happy and confident and looking forward to the next stages in their lives.
I work within the guidelines of the Early Years Foundation Stage, helping to enhance the learning and development of your child. I offer many activities and experiences, including drawing, painting, playdoh, stenciling, dressing up, model making, freeplay, garden play, park visits, fruit picking, woodland walks, toddler and childminding groups and much more. I have a huge amount of toys, activites and resources for children to explore and enjoy.
My Qualifications
I make sure I keep my training and any relevant qualifications up to date with current requirements. I also attend training sessions that I feel may help improve my childcare practice and benefit the children I look after and the parents I work with.

Level 2 Food Hygiene,
Level 1&2 Safeguarding Children,
NVQ Level 3 in Children's Care, Learning and Development.
Sensory Play,
Managing Medicines,
Inclusion Development - Autistic Spectrum Disorder
Common Assessment Framework
Early Years Foundation Stage,
Observation, Planning and Assessment Skills,
Introduction to Domestic Abuse.
Training is ongoing in many of the areas listed above.
My Availability
I am available all year round, but do take at least 4 weeks off each year as personal holiday. Hours of work are fairly flexible so please feel free to ask as per your requirements.
I currently drop off and collect children from Owlsmoor Pre-School, Nursery and Primary School.
