About Me
I am a very enthusiastic and caring person. I have four children, grown up, married and in university. I love working with children (in school for 20 years) either through play or more formal education.
I prefer working one to one with a child as this is when most progress can be made, and tutoring can be tailored to the child's needs. I firmly believe that learning for children should be fun and engaging and I will do my very best to provide this for your child.
My Experience
I have worked for 20 years in a Primary school - as a teaching assistant, as a higher level teaching assistant, taking responsibility for delivering the curriculum to the children.
I have worked with children who have had autistic tendencies, autism, ADHD, behavioural difficulties, and speech difficulties/impairments in a one to one situation. I have worked with high achievers in primary school, and I have run booster classes for those who need some help in catching up.
I have four wonderful children, all grown now. I have five grandchildren that I love dearly.
