About Me
I have been a registered childminder since 2012. I live in Mile Oak and cover school drop offs and collections at the local school and pre-school. I also cater for under 5's and look after children from around 6 months. I have two daughters aged 13 & 10 and come from a family of childminders with my mum doing it for more than 20 years.
Children in my care are offered a friendly homely environment to grow up in and learn through play.
I complete a daily diary and Learning Journey for children under five, (until they go to school) and track each EYFS child’s progress against the Early Years Outcomes.
My home is warm and friendly and I have a playroom where children have access to an array of toys including a role play area.
Children have access to my garden where they can play with sit and ride toys and a variety of outdoor games. We have recently added a bird table and bug house and the children have enjoyed bird watching and ticking off the birds they see.
After school children are able to join in and play or are welcome to sit down with a book, an activity or just watch a film.
My Experience
As a mum of two young children I have the experience required to be a childminder. I have looked after children from as young as 6 months and enjoy watching them grow up and then taking them to school for the first time.
As well as babies and toddlers I also look after after-school children. Obviously I am able to cater for each child as an individual and offer them what they need whether it be learning through play, activities or quiet time with a book.
I enjoy teaching the children about the world around us and encouraging them to learn through play.
I am aware of the EYFS and the Characteristics of Learning and refer to this when carrying out observations. You will be kept informed of your child’s day with pictures and messages.
My Qualifications
I have completed all the necessary courses required by Ofsted including Paediatric First Aid and Safeguarding and am up to date with the new EYFS Framework.
I am kept up to date on the latest information and have a network of Childminder's that I communicate with.
I have my Food Hygiene Level 2 certificate as well as other courses including Prevent and Safeguarding.
I have also recently completed an Understanding Autism Course which I found very useful.
My Availability
I am available Monday to Friday between the hours of 8am-6pm.
I currently have vacancies for both Early Years and before and after schools.

My Fees
- Childminding from £4.00 per hour
The rates I charge vary depending on the hours required but start at £4.00 per hour.
