The best childminder

My two daughters have attended Clare’s lovely home before and after school since they were in reception. They are now in year 2 and 4 and love their “Clare days”.

Clare provides a warm and nurturing environment. The children are offered all sorts of different activities such as arts and crafts, games and lots of outdoor play. Clare always makes a great effort on the children’s birthdays which is a lovely added touch and shows how much she genuinely cares about the children she looks after.

Great and reliable childminder

My eldest child attended Claire's for 6 years, and my youngest is still there and has attended for 3 years. Claire is a very reliable, dedicated and experienced child carer. She is also very down to earth and approachable.
My kids loved attending. Highly recommended.

Reliable, Fun and Caring Childminder

My daughter has been attending Clare's childminding service since September, and she really enjoys it. She loves the garden with the lovely selection of play equipment, and spending time in the garden is definitely a highlight for her. The arts and crafts are always a hit as well, and she enjoys bringing home her creations. Clare’s dogs are also popular with the kids, and my daughter looks forward to seeing them each day. The food is always good, and I really appreciate the thought Clare puts into celebrating birthdays – it’s a nice personal touch. When the weather's good, the trips to the playground are a great way for the kids to get some fresh air and have fun together. Clare is kind, patient, and has a good sense of humour, which makes my daughter feel comfortable and happy to go. Overall, I’m really happy with the care she provides, and I would 100% recommend her to other parents.

Kids loved their time with Clare

My girls went to Clare after-school for around 7 months, they settled in so well and had so much fun! They were gutted to leave but we relocated 1.5 hours away.
I would highly recommend Clare for after school provisions!

Very happy children

Clare has been looking after our two boys for several years. They are always so happy to go to Clare's and feel really comfortable there. Clare has a wonderful, natural way of making the children feel welcome and at ease, and at helping them to get along well together. The older children form lovely relationships with the younger children, which also helps the younger ones feel more settled at school. Clare is also great at coming up with fun and creative ways to celebrate holidays and children's birthdays. She is always thinking of new ways to keep the children engaged and having fun, while also being mindful of when they need some quiet time to recharge after a busy day. Clare is also very good at communicating with parents, which we really appreciate.

Excellent Childcare

We have always felt very comfortable leaving our son with Clare, knowing that Clare provides a caring, friendly environment and uses the time constructively, providing activities such as arts/crafts/games. Our son actively looks forward to the days he spends at Clare’s.

Honest, trustworthy & responsible childcare

Our son started with Clare for after school care in September at the same time when he started school.

Right from the first time we met Clare, she has been very professional and transparent. She took the time to get to understand our little one by asking about his likes and dislikes etc. Clare's got a lovely house with lots of toys and outdoor play equipment which is perfect for kids of all ages. She offers wonderful activities like painting, craft, dress up and celebrating different cultures. Our son loves going to Clare and tells us that he wants her to pick him up everyday! He absolutely loves playing with the dogs and can't stop talking about them. He also loves interacting with other children and loves talking about them too.

We are very thankful to Clare for providing such great care for our little one. It is very reassuring to know that our child is happy and enjoys his time away from home.

Very glad that we found Clare and would have no issues recommending her.

Excellent

My Daughter started in the mornings with Clare in September, she used to attend a breakfast club but I wanted her to have a more homely setting before school, and I’m so glad I chose Clare.
I met with Clare before my daughter started and she showed me her house and the things she does which was lovely as my daughter and I new what to expect.
Clare has been amazing with my daughter who has additional needs, my daughter feels comfortable around Clare and absolutely loves the mornings knowing she is going to Clare’s house. She loves seeing the dogs and has been much happier in the mornings since starting. So can’t thank Clare enough for making the mornings fun for my daughter and less stressful for me!
Clare is great with communicating and is very friendly and approachable.

I would highly recommend Clare as a childminder!

Dependable, Responsible and Pleasant

Clare has from day 1 been very transparent with her policies and setup, so it is easy to understand.
She is very pleasant and easy to talk to. She also take her responsibilty very seriously, so the children are always in a safe and healthy surrounding.
We can depend on Clare and she takes her role very seriously.
Our son enjoys beeing at Clare's. He greatly missed her during the lockdown.

Great wraparound care

My little one had the same childminder since she was a baby, so I was a little apprehensive about swapping childminders when she went to school.

However, I signed up with Clare as soon as I met her! She has a lovely house full of toys and does lots of different things with the children. My daughter's pack is full of drawings and things she has made every evening. Clare provides a warm, "home from home" environment and I like that she has a range of different age groups as it also means my daughter can interact with lots of different children.

My daughter has settled in perfectly since September which is all the more appreciated given the crazy world in which we're currently living!

I'd highly recommend Clare if you need excellent wrapround care for Barrow Hedges School.
