About Me
I am English and live in a village on the outskirts of Bath. I have 2 children, a 22 year old son training to be an engineer in Portsmouth and a 20 year old daughter, who is in university. I love children, cooking, being creative, gardening, swimming, reading and languages (I speak French and Japanese and am currently challenging Spanish)
My Experience
When I was 17 years old I worked in Belgium looking after 3 children. At eighteen I then worked for another family helping at the birth of their 3rd child. At 27 I went to Japan to help a French couple at the birth of their 1st child and remained with them for 2 years. in recent years I ran an after school club in a junior school for 4 years and a short time as a playground assistant in a nearby school. For the past year I have been supporting a mother with her young baby after a cesarean, and am very happy to see both doing well so that my role is not needed as much!
My Qualifications
Apart from a wealth of experience under my belt I have completed a nanny course with Tinies Training and I am waiting for an update on my CRB check and am in the process of applying for Ofsted registration. I have also completed a paediatric first aid course.
