About Me
My name is Ellen McNulty. I am a primary school teacher with 9 years primary school teaching experience. I love being outside and learning through play and fun interactions. I live in Canterbury but I teach in Ashford and I have a passion for reading and phonics. I have both leadership and teaching experience completing my masters degree in Education 2 years ago. I did my training through Teach First and continue to follow the values of "any child can succeed regardless of barriers". I keep this vision in mind in my every day practice and I have great results each year.
My Experience
I have been a teacher for 9 years. I have provided COVID catch up tutoring for 2 years. I have taught acorss the primary years from ages 3-11 and I have lead and currently lead Early Years and Key stage 1. I am currently in Key stage 1 and lead mathematics across the school from Nursery to Year 6. Last year, I lead phonics across the school from Nursery to Year 6 so I am able to tutor and support across all areas of learning.
I have a Psychology degree, PGDE and a Masters Degree in Education. I am also experienced with SEN children and support high needs funded children outside of my teaching hours. I am a mentor for Early Career teachers and I currently lead 8 teachers and 30 teaching assisstants and expected high quality teaching across my phases.
From whether your child needs some COVID gap filling to support in areas they have not progressed as well in, I am able to support your child's needs.
My Qualifications
I have a Psychology degree, PGDE and a Masters Degree in Education. I am part of both the Kent Maths Hub and the English Hub and have completed various training through these such as Maths Mastery from Nursery to Year 6 and leading the Phonics Screening Check in schools. My Fees
- Babysitting from £15.00 per hour
- Tutoring from £35.00 per hour
My current fees for tutoring are £40 an hour, however, I can offer cheaper concessions to lower income families.
