About Me
Hi I'm a Registered Childminder in Stapleford. I have worked with children for 24 years.
I live with my husband Allan, son Blake who is 12 and daughter Crystal who is 6. We have pet cats who are very friendly. My hobbies include running, swimming, crafts, reading, camping, cooking, the cinema and theatre, walking and sight seeing and spending time with family and friends.
I am currently offering before and after school care and holiday care in the school holidays for children aged from 3 years.
I am very creative and very much enjoy creative activities, sensory and messy play. I have a designated creative area.
I am a fit and active individual with plenty of energy to provide children. I provide a stimulating environment with a wide variety of fun and educational activities inside and out. I have a large garden and all year round garden play cabin. I provide a very nurturing and safe environment.
I provide a healthy light tea after school and breakfast before school. I cater for food allergies and different dietary requirements.
I am a very bubbly and enthusiastic person who likes to look on the positive side. I thoroughly enjoy working with children and helping them to develop. I am organised and driven as a person and very caring.
I take children on trips out or example to the farm, pet shop, park etc. We live opposite a big recreation ground so we take advantage of this area to play and explore for example nature hunts and ball games.
I have worked a lot with dealing with children with special needs and behavioural problems. My son has additional needs himself.
My Experience
My experience with children started when I babysat at aged 14 for different families and decided that it was definitely what I wanted to do as I loved being with children so much. When I left school I went on to do my CACHE Diploma in Nursery Nursing (NNEB) and qualified in 1999. I at first worked at a Nursery with young children and older ones in the before/after school and Holiday clubs, then at Nottingham City Hospital taking children to theatre for operations, for treatments and providing play therapy during hospital stays. This being a temporary position led me to decide to travel and I worked abroad as a Children’s Holiday Representative and Nanny from 2002-2005. I worked For 6 and half years at a Women’s Refuge with children from 0-17 years as a Children’s Support Worker. I have also worked in schools. I feel these different jobs have given me vast experience and have all been very rewarding.
My Qualifications
CACHE Diploma in Nursery Nursing (NNEB). I am trained in Paediatric First Aid. I also have a GNVQ Intermediate in Health and Social Care, NCFE Special Needs Assistants Certificate and NVQ 2 in Play work. I have carried out training in creative ways to communicate with children and young people, music for interaction and development, promoting positive behaviour, multi sensory awareness, safeguarding children and young people, equal opportunities awareness and therapeutic arts and communicating with children.

My Fees
- Childminding from £4.00 per hour
- Babysitting from £9.00 per hour
My fees are £5 from 7.30am until school starts
£10 after school until 6p. I can do earlier or later upon request with an extra fee.
In the school holidays I charge £4.00 an hour
