I am a fully qualified and certified professional with a Bachelors Degree in Childhood and Youth Studies, now that I have qualified, and have gained a lot of experience with working with children and their families; in nursery and school settings, I have decided that I do not want to work in a nursery or school setting, in my opinion, I do not believe children are provided with the love, care, and support they require individually, therefore I have chosen to work independently as a nanny.
As I have gained a Bachelor's degree, I would like to take advantage of my knowledge gained and share it with parents. As part of the degree, I had to complete a research project (dissertation) which I completed on parenting styles affecting children's behavior as a result of this, I believe I am able to provide information, advice and techniques to support children's behavior, if necessary. I believe children require boundaries and discipline, and rules should be put in place for children to adhere to. This can support children's, listening skills as well as social development.
The services I provide are:
Babysitting , at the clients home, for parents that would like to go out, night time partying.
After school Nanny, - Providing extra support for Early Years children, enhancing their learning development by, teaching them the alphabets, numbers, days of the week.. colors, etc.
Au Pair - Live Out.
One off babysitting.
Support parents with potty training their child.
Support parents during school holidays.
I consider myself to be more of an Au Pair / Nanny, I am NOT a Childminder as I do not care for the children at my own home, furthermore I do not charge per child like childminders do. I charge per hour regardless of how many children you may have.
I have great communication skills, I am an educated woman and money motivated, I have good manners, I am independent, polite, hard working, reliable, respectful, helpful, dedicated, honest/trustworthy, tidy and active. I work whole heartily to my best ability.
I am looking for consistency within my work.
Most importantly I enjoy working with children and young people and encouraging them to learn new exciting and fun things. As I believe children learn through play.
I believe all children will enjoy being in my company as I am a bubbly, friendly young women, that likes to interact and communicate with children, encouraging them to reach their full potential.
My main priority is to ensure that the child/ren are safe and happy.
I would like to say I am terribly frightened of animals, if you have any animals, especially dogs, I cannot offer you any of my services, unless they are detained else where, I refuse to work with families that have animals. Sorry for the inconvenience, but I will not be able to focus if there are animals coming in and out of the house.
Overall, I believe that I can sympathise with children and communicate with them in manner they can understand.
So if you need childcare, message me and I will be happy to support your needs.
I like to:
- support children with their language development.
- improve children's reading and writing skills.
- improve children's mathematics skills.
- support children with their school homework.
- creative activities, painting or drawing, which children enjoy
- physical activities, playing football, park.
