About Me

I have worked with children for almost 30 years. I love crafts of all kinds, gardening and cooking . I love helping young children learn to be independent and grow with confidence. I have worked with all ages from new born to 20. I have worked in many childcare settings as well as a nanny. I work on child development and set routines in place. I have worked in SEN . I have recently upgraded my maternity nurse level 4 and breastfeeding support, colic and reflux course. Having worked in schools I am confident liaising with teachers regarding the child’s learning. I love making resources with the children to help them develop. Also helping them to become confident and independent in everyday life.
With new-borns to 5, all aspects of daily care, going to play activities and helping them with their developmental milestones and learning through play and socialising. organising activities to help gross motor skills .Speech and language is one of my favourite areas of teaching as I have found that the earlier a child learns to communicate, the less behaviour becomes an issue later on. Also weaning and potty training along with sleep coaching. I am fair but firm when needed and teach children how to respect and follow rules, boundaries and others, and to mainly understand their own wants and needs, and the best way to act on them. I have also worked with SEN children and Babies with needs, working alongside hospitals, physios, OT and other outside agencies connected with the care needed for the child.
