I have been extremely happy with the care T has received, and the great progress she has made whilst in Jo's care. Jo’s home is always welcoming, clean and well organised and T has great fun playing with all the toys available and with the other children in her care. Beyond all this though, it is jo's warm and friendly approach which sets her apart from other childminders we have experienced.

In Jan 2014 I began my search for childcare for my son Oliver who had just turned two.
We tried a couple of settings but Oliver just wasn't settled. I then got recommended Jo and Chris, they accommodated Oliver at very short notice and he settled in like it was his second home.
Oliver used to slam the door on my face before I could even say bye he loved it so much, I got regular pictures and a daily diary which informed me everything and more that I needed to know about my pride and joy.
In late 2015 Oliver began school where he was advancing in every area due to the education insights he recieved while with Chris and Jo. I also had a little girl Esme this year, on days I was feeling a little overwhelmed or just needed to catch a break Chris and Jo were still always on hand to help with both the children this continued up untill 2018 when we moved out of area and we all broke our hearts as Chris and Jo felt like family.
Since then I've had a further two children and now as a university student I was recently in need of a childcare provider who I know first hand will genuinely love my children. As I no longer live close I began the search closer to home but again I just couldn't settle and neither could the girls.
I decided to give Chris and Jo and call and see if they were able to accommodate my girls and of course they went above and beyond to place them in their care at really short notice. My youngest Daisy has very strong attachment and I was really upset at the thought of her crying while I wasn't with her, only to receive an image of her on Chris's knee smiling enjoying the love they provide.
My son is now 9 and still recalls lots of fond memories. 8 years, 4 kids and 3 house moves later Chris and Jo continue to support me and more importantly the children in everything they do.
Best childcare providers you will find.

Louie joined the childcare setting with Chris and Jo when he was 7 months old. Being first time parents we wanted to be sure that we had chosen the right place for Louie to go during work hours and that the setting gave us confidence in this from the get go, as we wanted it to be a place he would stay until he went to Pre school. I spoke to Chris and Jo about some introductory hours and a placement for Louie 3 days a week. We were asked a lot questions regarding Louie and where he was at with his development and what he was able to do. I was asked questions about this sleep pattern the types of food he enjoyed and completed forms about his development and personality which has been ongoing throughout . This gave us great confidence as it was nice to be involved with knowing where Louie would be aiming for at certain ages and what milestones he would likely to be hitting etc. We had a tour of the setting and surroundings Louie would be in whilst in Chris and Jo’s care. Louie then started to go one day a week for a few hours to test the waters for us. We were immediately very happy with the setting

During his first weeks with Jo and Chris we were sent home regular reports on Louie. His toilet habits, nappies changed and what he had done and ate during his stay on that particular day. We would always look forward to reading these when he was home to get a feel on what sorts of things Louie had been doing whilst away from us. Chris and Jo have always been great with communicating with us. Whether it be pictures of Louie during the day via watts app or just a quick message to let me know he is having a nice day and he is ok. I think as a parent its nice to receive these updates whilst away from your child. We have always had good discussions on Louie and how he is progressing and tips and pointers in to things we can also do at home to help with his development. I particularly like the pictures we receive of Louie during messy play. Pumpkin carving being my favourite this year and Louie was so proud to bring his pumpkin home to us. I have collected and saved all his pictures that Jo and Chris have helped Louie to make and we have his hand and footprint calendar up on our wall. Valentines day, birthdays Christmas he brings home beautiful hand made cards, pictures and cookies he has made it really does make us smile.

I like to know Louie is eating well and regularly discuss with Jo and Chris about his eating habits and what he’s had for lunch. I can always be assured that he is eating lots of lovely nutritional food and snacks and yummy home made meals. Louie has a big appetite and loves his fruit which I know he gets provided 3 meals a day with Chris and Jo and fruity snacks.

Chris and Jo asked me what Louie likes to read at home to see if we could get the same few books to try with him. This helped with him learning and knowing the story’s.

We are very amazed with how much Louie learns from the curriculum with Jo and Chris and we couldn’t be more prouder as parents for his achievements whilst in there care. He can sing his ABCs, Count to ten, put sentences together and sing a large number of nursery rhymes. We couldn’t be more thankful to Chris and Jo and how much they have learnt Louie.

This childcare provider was bothering me with many messages, even after I said I'm not interested about her services. She was very rude, threatening and with this attitude. Be aware of her.

Response by Avatar for Jo Prawl Jo Prawl on 20/11/2019:

This lady's email came up in my inbox with what she was requiring for her 19 month old Baby. All I did then out of common courtesy and professionalism, was reply stating that we don't offer babysitting services. She then replied well I wasn't interested anyway! You tell me who you feel is rude?. I have never in the nearly ten years we have been child-minding, been treated and spoken to this way. She just got ruder and ruder and behaved rather childishly. Why didn't she just let it go art the first email, then none of this would have occurred. I advise all babysitters looking for work, to think again, as if she can be so rude at THIS stage, then I dread what could happen further down the line. I can produce the whole conversation to anyone who would like to see exactly how it went, which is definitely not as this lady describes. What an absolute insult.
