First time using a CM and was really impressed

We found Dawn last minute and she started looking after my little girl ( 1 yr). Very patient and lovely with the kids. Always engaged them with outdoor activities which my girl absolutely adores, neat environment, family oriented and an excellent service

Best childminder ever

Another great review to add to the list for Dawn, my wee boy has loved going to Dawn’s, she is so good with him and is always taking the kids different places for example the zoo, soft play, local parks, he absolutely loves it. She has a lovely home and playroom area for the kids to do their activities in. She will quite often email us over some photos of him which I love to see. He’s always done something to show me (a wee picture etc) and always has lots of stories to tell. From an educational point of view he has come on leaps and bounds since going to Dawn’s, a childminder can spend more one-on-one time than nursery teachers can I think. Also, I have literally only seen her dog once, it doesn’t mix with the children whatsoever. My son was bitten by a dog years ago, so this was something I was really particular on but I needn’t have been because she is very strict about the dog which is great. I couldn’t possibly recommend Dawn enough, she is so dedicated to her job. A great childminder is worth their weight in gold and we are so thankful we went to Dawn when we were looking for a childminder.

Fantastic chidlminder

Dawn has been looking after my oldest son since he was 9 months old. He is now nearly 4. He adores her. I was so nervous leaving him at first but she made me feel at ease. She sent me pictures while I was working showing him happy.

Dawn provides a nice family environment which is important to me. He enjoys being at hers and loves playing with her daughters when they come in from school.

My son goes to soft play with her and meets other children he knows there. He has been to a toddler group with Dawn as well. He is also happy to spend time in the playroom playing with the wide selection of toys.

Dawn is honest and trustworthy. When my son is upset or ill I know he is comforted by her. Dawn encourages good behaviour with positive reinforcement. I am currently on maternity leave with my second son who will be going to her when I am back at work.

Brill Childminder

My son has been with Dawn for almost a year and half, 2 days a week and I am very happy and would highly recommend. Dawn is very professional, friendly and great with the kids, my son first went to Dawn when he was almost 2 and Dawn was excellent at tracking his development and progress in a daily diary, this also let me see the various activities done throughout the day and places visited that day. Dawn also does a lot of indoor activities like drawing, reading & baking which my son really enjoys, he has recently started nursery, Dawn takes him and collects him for me which is great.

Dawn's Childminding Service

My daughter is 9 and is cared for by Dawn before and after school 3 days a week. This is her second year with Dawn, she is really happy and settled. Dawn is always welcoming and happy to see her. My daughter looks forward to the activities Dawn has planned, especially around Christmas, Hallowe'en, Guy Fawkes night and this year's favourite, Pancake Tuesday. I think that Dawn really does take the time to understand what each of her children like and want to do - she has lots of great toys to play with and is always keen to get the children outside when the weather is good. My daughter loves doing arts and crafts and Dawn always makes a point of having lots of materials for her to draw or make something with.
Dawn has a really flexible and open approach with parents, she is easy to speak to and always gives a quick summary of the day's events and activities without it taking up too much handover time. Her policies are clear and she regularly sends out a newsletter with info for the coming weeks.
I would have no hesitation in recommending Dawn's childminding to anyone.

Excellent

My daughter has been attending Dawns childminding for 8months now and loves going. Dawn is my Daughters first minder and had never been without me, I was apprehensive about leaving her. Dawn advised me to have a couple of settle sessions to allow my daughter to get used to her surroundings. After a few sessions I was leaving my daughter without any tears. Dawn takes the children to many different groups and outings which my daughters loves, over the weeks I have really seen my daughter developing. Dawn maintains the routines I have for my daughter in her own home which I very much appreciate. I am currently in full-time education and I'm due to finish, my daughter and myself will be sincerely sad to say goodbye. I would highly recommend Dawn to anyone.

Excellent

I used this childminding service for a short period and within that period my son was well cared for and was upset when we had to stop the childcare due to work redundancy.
Dawn would go the extra mile for my son and make sure all the activities were age appropriate.

I have no hesitation in recommending this service.
