Rob has worked in the Early years sector since 2008, he hold's a BA Hons in Early Childhood Professional Studies (ARU Cambridge), and a FDA, in Early Years (Kingston) he has worked in Independent Schools in London, Cambridge and Italy, supporting Early years classes.
Rob's education and career experience has provided him with a wide range of skills, combining this with an advanced knowledge and practical experience of the EYFS Framework.
Rob's supports parents with practical help and advice with sleep training, toilet training, and child behaviour management. He is active on social media and runs a group supporting Parents and educators, Rob offers parents with daily nannying related support and is also available for travel nannying.
My Experience
I have been working in the early years sector for 14 years in September 2020 as the UK based early years settings were forced to closed as a result of the Covid 19 restrictions, my first home nannying role was in support of two NHS Cardiac Consultants, supporting their two children aged 9 Months and 3.5 Yrs, whilst I have worked in the early years settings for many years, this was my first role as a home based Nanny, I found the role was both rewarding and an eye opener, using my early years practitioner background, I was able to tailor a play based care program for the children, that was both age and setting appropriate, as we were limited by the geographic lockdown, our days needed to be busy and as well as providing the support expected as a Nanny, I had to be resourceful with activities that could be delivered in a home environment.
Since leaving my full-time family job in May 2021. I decided to undertake ad-hoc childcare roles supporting a number of families. During my time as a ad-hoc nannying I have looked after children aged from 4 weeks - 8 years old. I am fortunate that the variety of families, has helped increase my practical knowledge of responsibilities as well as implementing developmentally appropriate care routines and activities in the home environment.
I have also supported a family as a Sen Nanny working with a 4 year old boy who is non-verbal, this experience has helped my pedagogy in slowing down my practice and realising the importance of an inclusive environment activities carried out together include visits to cafes, museums and the botanical gardens.
I regularly support the mums club Cambridge with crèche during their brunches. Activities include reading stories and supporting the toddlers through a selection of open-ended resources, whilst the mums brunch.

Rob has been fabulous with our 3 years old boy, he’s been very nurturing and his enthusiasm was really contagious!!! My son was very happy to play with him.

Rob was recommended to us by a friend. When our childminder fell through at short notice earlier this week, Rob stepped in to nanny our 10 month old and, because he was unavailable another day, recommend another nanny in his place.
Rob was brilliant with our son, took him to Rhymetime at the library and soft play, and generally kept him happy all day. He has a wonderful way with babies and brought a bag full of play items with him.
I would 100% recommend him to other parents and hope to get the opportunity to use him again. He also ran an errand for me and hung the washing up, which was super helpful!

Rob looked after our 18 months old for two days and he was brilliant. He was punctual and came with toys to play with our son. He took our son out on both days to parks. Our son also had food at Marks and Spencer’s with other little ones who came with nannies. Rob kept me updated with photos and whatsapp messages about their whereabouts in town. Punctual, kind, organised, and with good communication skills. Also, excellent knowledge of early years development bonus. Look no further if you want a nanny or babysitter!

Rob looked after our 16m old for one evening while we attended an event in Cambridge. It was the first time we had left him with someone who wasn't family or his regular nursery so we were a bit nervous but Rob was absolutely fantastic. We were playing outside in muddy puddles when we arrived and he got down on the ground immediately, meaningfully engaging with our son and within seconds he was captivated by Rob. Rob was so reassuring, competent and clearly amazing with children. We're quite sad we don't live in Cambridge as he would be someone we would trust with keeping our children safe and entertained. Thank you so much Rob!
