Zero integrity. Avoid.

Sincere apologies to the last family who had a bad experience with Antonia. She blocked me before I was able to leave a review. I hoped we would be a one off, but after seeing the latest review I contacted the website so I could warn other families.

We employed Antonia for 7 months. She was great with the kids (or so we thought) but regularly demonstrated a lack of integrity. She used the bank card I gave her for family expenses for personal use, told us she couldn’t come to work because her friend was in town and lied to us about being ill during school holidays when she was actually looking after her children. After we gave her her notice she basically stopped coming to work, leaving us high and dry in the school holidays. She also owes us money for a weeks’ work that she said she would pay back and hasn’t. After we fired her during the notice period, things came to light which were very upsetting and I filed a police report. Avoid, avoid, avoid.

Disappointing experience – would not recommend

We had a very disappointing experience with this nanny. She initially seemed enthusiastic, bubbly, and eager to help, and after two weeks of trial we signed a contract with her. However, just one week later—right after school had started and the children were settling into reception, she quit suddenly without giving any explanation, despite having told us just a week earlier that this arrangement suited her very well.

This was especially difficult because she had been hired for a nanny share, including school pick-ups, and she left us and the other family completely stranded just days into the arrangement. She gained our trust and our children’s trust, only to walk away a few days after starting.

In addition to wasting significant time and energy, she still owes us money that she promised to transfer back but has not, and she no longer responds to messages.

While she comes across as warm and enthusiastic, our experience showed that she was not professional.

Highly recommend, kind caring nanny

Antonia has worked with our family for three years, looking after our children from small babies all the way to pre school age. She adores kids and is one of the most kind, caring people you could wish to meet. Because she has such depth of experience, she has been super helpful in supporting us with getting into good sleep patterns, weaning, potty training etc. She is very outgoing so plans lots of fun developmental activities for them, working around their normal routine. Antonia always shows up in a positive happy spirit, the kids love her as do we. She has become a real part of our family.
