About Me
My name is Katie and I am an Ofsted registered childminder. I am happily married and have 2 young boys, we also have a small dog called Aggie. I live in Astley in a very loving, child orientated fun home. We love doing crafts, singing, dancing, cooking, reading and going to playgroups. We love the great outdoors and will spend as much time outside as possible! Some of the places we enjoy visiting are Lilford park, Moss Bank Park, Barton airport, Astley Duckpond, Salford museum and Pennington flash. We also enjoy visiting playgroups such as Physibodies and childminder run groups. We have a lovely big garden with climbing frame and slides and decked patio area with access to water and sand play.
I use a fantastic secure online system called 'Babydays' which means that you can access your childs information on a daily basis, you will find daily diaries, pictures of our adventures and information regarding your childs development, I also send out monthly newsletters so you are always up to date with our plans.
My Experience
I am a mother to 2 lovely boys aged 14 and 18. I became a childminder in November 2010 and look after 3 children at the moment, I get good feedback from the parents and they are extremely happy with the care that I offer.

Level 3 Children's & Young peoples workforce
Paediatric First Aid
Basic Food Hygiene
CACHE Introduction to Childminding
Introduction to EYFS
Safeguarding children
I am always wanting to further my knowledge and so will always take courses which are relevant to improving my practice
I got graded 'Outstanding' on my last Ofsted inspection (Jan 2019)

Overall
Katie is a wonderful childminder who I would continue to use if I wasn't changing the area I worked in. Katie is fun, full of adventure and she puts so much thought into making every day special for my son who absolutely loves being with Katie and her family.
Katie keeps up to date with the early years framework and I feel she has played an important role in learning my son new skills and developing his imagination. Every day with Katie is a well planned out mix of outdoor play, learning, reading, crafts, play groups, singing, dancing, laughing and FUN!
As a parent I feel totally reassured leaving my son with Katie and have always had excellent communication and feedback about his activities. He gets so much one on one attention too. I can not recommend Katie enough. She is fantastic.

WOW!! Thanks so much for your wonderful review :) I love looking after Ted and I will be so sad to see him leave (although I have been very lucky to keep him longer than planned ;) ) He has become part of the family and I hope we keep in touch :) xx
