About Me

I have been a registered childminder for 14 years. I live with my husband of 34 years in the South of Liverpool.
We have 3 grown up children and 4 grandchildren.
We have 1 cat

I am a qualified Early years Teacher an a redgistered Childminder
I employ 2 assistants both qualified to level 3 in childcare and development with DBS checks and level 2 in paedriatric first aird and safeguarding as well as both having a level 3 in playwork additionaly one assistant is an Early Years Educator

I offer places for children from ages birth to 5yrs and some holiday places for 5 to 8 yrs.
I am redigistered with the local authority to offer funded placement for 2 yr olds and nursery education for 3-5 yr olds

I am currently redgistered with a number of voucher payment schemes
I am also redgistered to offer Tax free childcare

I believe children should be given every opportunty to learn and develop through play and fun is always at the heart of everything we do

I provide a wide range of indoor and outdoor toys and equipment
I believe in being outdoors and so as all children can join in and play I provide all- in one water proofs, wellingtons, crocs, fleeces and sun hats.
I aim to reduce any physical barriers to all children taking part and having fun

The indoor space is very much the heart of my home. We have two rooms we use daily and a down stairs WC for the children to use. One room is a desginated playroom and provides a breakout space for the older children and a quiet space for our pre school children. We have a small den under the stairs Books are easliy accessible as are lots of toys, jig-saws, games, and craft equipment as well as i-pads. Toys and equipment are alternated and changed depending on how and what the children are playing with, the age range and the individual childs' interest.
I provide fold out beds for children to sleep on in the second reception room.

The rear garden is enclosed and has differrent levels of both lawn and paved area, which gives the children different views of their environment and provides different areas of interest. There is a den underneath the trees and lots of flowers and shrubs in the boarders which the children are encouraged to help maintain and dig for bugs

The font garden is paved and is an excellent place to learn to ride our scooters and bicycles.

All meals and snacks are freshly prepared and we have a 3 week rolling menu. Water. Milk and fresh juice are offered at meal times and each child has a B.P.A free water bottle they have acess to all day

An online learning book is maintained so parents can see how their child is developing they can also add to the learning book and take an active part in how their child is learning and developing.
