About Me
I have very recently stepped down from owning and running my own Day Nursery which was/is very well established. I hold an Early Years Degree also and have 15 years plus experience (from new born to secondary schools). after 5 years and lots of pressure I’m excited to embark upon new adventures. Mainly to enjoy work more and feel less stressed upon my arrival home. :-) I have a son myself and this has also made me re-analyse my work/life balance. Being a parent now I am ready to fulfil a new role that I can fully relate to without the pressure of my previous position. I am happy, fun and like to be busy but also have those cosy home days baking and enjoying crafts.
I am looking for a part time role (1/2/3 days) and will be carrying out a role as a part time nursery deputy on the other days. I would also consider school holiday only position or an after school role possibly. I am looking for a sole charge role and will need to bring my son along with me (he’s 13 months, very easy going) I would like to be able to visit playgroups, parks, swimming etc. I am happy to cook lightly and clean/iron/wash etc. I would happily register with Ofsted.
I'm looking for a role where I am able to go out and about, make positive decisions, find new activities and have a stimulating and fun developmental experience with a family. (Parks, play dates, swimming, crafts etc) I have vast EYFS experience and therefore able to plan fun and stimulating activities for being at home. I am confident in all aspects of child development and also school readiness, having run parent and school workshops on this. I would be happy to discuss my experience in more detail.
My Experience
Owner and manager of a children's nursery, B.A (Hons) in Early Years, Various qualifications. 15 years experience (nurseries, nannying, private schools, newborns etc) I have a strong knowledge of EYFS and all aspects of a Early Years due to owning a nursery. After having a baby myself I am looking to enjoy a new role that I now can relate to through being a parent myself. I need to update my First Aid which I will do accordingly as and when i Find a role suitable. I have also been offered a 2 day deputy manager of a local school nursery. This would mean I am unavailable on a Tuesday & Wednesday. However the Wednesday I could change if a nanny position was required on the Wednesday. The Tuesday is set at present but again could swap for a good position.
