Hello, I am a very experienced Ofsted registered childminder (Graded Outstanding consistently by Ofsted and at my recent inspection April 2019). I am a mother of 2 children aged 22 and 19 years old. I live in a semi-detached house in Romford and have lived here for 23 years. My husbands name is Darrin who is also Ofsted Registered Childminder (Good). My daughter is also a Registered Childminder (Outstanding) working from my setting. We have pets at our home and parents like the fact that their children can grow to respect animals and not to hurt them (all the animals have their own area - children are not in direct contact with the majority of pets). We are a vegan and eco-friendly setting and children have the opportunity to be involved in what they eat, from food preparation to the cooking of food. Children also grow their own herbs and some vegetables and we have just bought an allotment to extend this area of learning. I have been a childminder for 19 years.
I have been a childminder for 19 years, so have a lot of experience with minded children from the age of 3 months to 11 years old. I am Ofsted registered and graded Outstanding. I have taken many courses all of which you can view in my portfolio when you visit. I have a silver award for Healthy Early Years London, I am constantly updating my skills and have a BA Hons Degree in Childhood and Youth Studies and Advanced Practice qualification NVQ Level 4 all through the Open University. I am an Accredited SENCO Co-ordinator (Special Educational Needs) and Accredited in Makaton, as well as the other two childminders at my setting. I have looked after many children over the years. I enjoy looking after and educating children. I also have Home Schooled primary children. I feel that as a childminder I can offer stability and love to children (continuity of care) which children do not always get from other settings. For example I have some children that started with me when they were little are now nearly 12 years old. Parents tell me that they have peace of mind, knowing that they are kept completely up-to-date of how their child is developing (through the outstanding Babys Days software), that their child has many opportunities and experiences at my setting and that they are confident with my qualifications, care, ability and behaviour management of their children. I offer children in full time care breakfast, lunch, dinner, healthy snacks and puddings of course. The children engage in many activities at my setting and outdoors in the community and I attend mother and toddler groups during my working week. In holidays we have an exciting time with many outings and trips based on the children's interests and I try to do everything they write on their 'wish lists'!!!
My husband and daughter are both Ofsted Registered Childminders graded Outstanding and Good and Accredited SENCO's. My daughter has previously worked in preschools and nurseries. She has excellent childcare qualifications and has attended many other training courses..
I have many qualifications which would be too long to write down therefore you would need to see my portfolio on a visit to my setting. My most important qualifications are:

NVQ 4 in Advanced child practice via the Open University
BA Hons Degree in Childhood and Youth Studies via the Open University

Many parents choose to book my service in advance e.g. 6 months in advance of start date. This I can do - we meet together to discuss, sign a contract and a minimal weekly fee (non refundable) is charged to hold your place. You then have the peace of mind that the place is yours and I will not take another child in the interim. Other parents prefer to be added to my waiting list.

after having had bad experiences with a previous childminder I am so glad to have found Jenny. We have chosen her to look after our little one (2.5yrs) as when we met initially she was warm welcoming and supportive of our situation. She has provided clear information on her setting and is as you will have seen in her profile highly qualified. My partner and I have confindence that this setting will be the best place for our little one to be supported and nurtured through his personal development and changes that will happen in the next year with starting nursery. Jenny offered us the chance to meet with her as many times as we needed and at each stage of our communication has been very open and honest leaving us with nothing but confidence.
After feeling extremely anxsious about going back to work and leaving my young daughter in child care, I am very happy about our descion to have Jennifer Schol as our childminder.
Jenny met with both myself and my partner so that we could discuss care for our daughter when I return to work. Jenny was welcoming and friendly, building an instant rapport with Sophia. These meetings helped to put all my worries at ease, knowing that Sophia would be looked after in a vibrant, loving and nurturing environment.
Jenny impressed with the range of activity and the educational grounding provided in her care. Emphasis on the continutiy of care Sophia would recieve, discipline and genuine affection for all of the children in her care, helped us to make the desicion to choose Jenny as our child care provider.
I am confident that we have made the best desicion for our daughter and I trust I can return to work feeling secure that Sophia will be safe and happy in Jenny's care.
