About Me
Hi, my name is Nicola and I live in Coney Hall, west Wickham and I am a mother of 1 girl and 2 boys, ages 13, 10 and 7. I have 3 years experience as a childminder but I also work in a pre-school with children age 2 to 4. I have a Foundation Degree in Early Years Education (Level 5) and have almost completed a BA Early Years (Hons) degree. Since having my own children, I have discovered how much I love teaching and supporting all children to become happy and confident. As a childminder I feel that it is important to treat every child with respect and to encourage self-confidence and self-worth and I will ensure that each child is cared for as if they were my own.
My Experience
12 years experience as a mother and 3 years working as a childminder with pre-school and school age children. I have also worked in a high quality, OFSTED registered 'Outstanding' pre-school for 4 years. The Early Years degree that I have (almost!) completed has given me the confidence and experience to understand the holistic development of children and to understand that every child is completely individual and develops at their own pace. Encouraging children to explore and experiment through play in a fun and stimulating environment is vitally important in the early years, as this can instil an interest in learning which will carry them through their school years and beyond. This is something that I aim to help all children develop, but it is even more important to support their emotional well-being by providing care and security in a home environment.

My Availability
I am finishing off my degree but will be available for childminding full-time in September, including before and after school, or possibly from July if required, depending on the hours needed. I will also be able to offer a pick up service from your house, if you live outside of the West Wickham/Coney Hall area. At the moment I am continuing to childmind before and after school and during the holidays.

My Fees
I charge £6 per hour or £10 per hour for 2 siblings. If holiday cover is required I am happy to negotiate a discount for full days and/or siblings.
