About Me
I am 32 years old, and I have a BTEC National Diploma in Early Years - equivalent to a level 3 childcare qualification. I have been in childcare for 15 years. I have lots of experience working within schools, nurseries and with famalies. This also includes caring for children with special needs.
I am fun, enthusiastic with lots of energy with a big passion for working with children. I am a kind caring person, and am very approachable with both children and parents.
I am now a mother to a gorgeous 8 month old boy.
My Experience
In my previous role I worked with my nanny family who I was with for 6 years, they are my 2nd nanny family. I looked after 2 boys. Monday to Thursday. 7:30-6:30. The eldest was at school, so I did the school run and cared for the youngest whilst the other was at school. The boys have lots of planned activities and clubs, which I ensure they get there on time with correct uniform and kits. I did lots of fun and educational activities with the youngest. Anything from Junk modelling, pumpkin carving, baking to bike rides in the woods. Both boys are now at school, so as my role finished I had a before and after school role. My 1st Nanny job was caring for a boy who is now 7, he was 1 when I started. He turned 4 and was going to school when I left. I cared for him, along with their two dogs and their house. I took him to nursery, provide fun age appropriate activities, including swimming, building dens, library trips, arts and crafts etc. Previously I was a deputy manager of a very busy day nursery, I was here for 2 years. I helped care for 170 children, on top of this I helped to manage a staff team of 60. In the holidays I managed a busy holiday club, with children aged 5-12. This club has approximately 70 children a day. Before I became deputy I ran the large pre-school room with children aged 3-4. Before this I worked at a day nursery in Henley where I ran a baby room for 18 months. My childcare course also consisted of a childcare placement for a special needs school.
My Qualifications
* I am OFSTED registered*
BTECH National Diploma in Early Years.
Qualified First Aider.
Trained within Sign Lanuguage.
I left school with 10 GCSE's between grades A*- C.
I am CRB Checked.
ABC for 2 year olds
Level 3 in management and leadership
