My name is Marie-Ange Labonte. I am a friendly, gentle, warm and easy-going person, confident and hard-working. I am originally from Mauritius and speak French and English. I have been a nanny for the same family, with 2 small boys aged 4 & 1, for over 3.5 years. They are relocating so I am searching for a new position.
I am dedicated to my job and am a true professional who genuinely enjoys taking care of children. I have over 5 years’ experience in the UK working with newborn babies, toddlers and children, but I also took care of children abroad before this. I also have 2 grown up sons and 2 granddaughters.
My Experience
I currently work for a family with two children aged 4 and 1 years old. I have worked for this family for 3.5 years. I do all duties related to caring for the children, including meal preparation. I ensure that they have stimulating activities such as playing, reading books, singing, dancing, painting and other creative activities according to the age of the child.
Also, I take children to external activity groups, organise play dates, and to parks and museums and feel confident using public transport with them. All these things help them develop their social and developmental skills. I also do pre-school pick ups for the older child.
My duties also include keeping the children’s nursery or play area, clean and tidy. As a bonus, I am bilingual and am delighted to teach French to the children or even the whole family, which I think could be fun.
I have excellent references available, and my current family are willing to speak in detail with any prospective employer.
My Qualifications
First Aid certificate from 2016- to be renewed over the summer.
My Availability
I am flexible and work around changing needs and requirements, and I am very adaptable. I have worked both part-time and full-time at different periods for my current family, including travelling with them abroad. They are moving house in August, so would be available for a new position from September 2020.
