About Me
Pickery's Childminding is a registered childminding service in Wych Cross, Forest Row. I have been inspected by Ofsted and have been graded 'Outstanding' in 2023. I'm insured through Pacey , Hold a DBS and I’m first aid trained.
My aim is to provide a friendly, clean. comfortable and safe environment where enjoyment and fun are linked with discovery and learning.
I follow the EYFS framework.
I welcome parent's involvement and recognise and respect that you are the first and most important educators in the lives of your children.
I'm committed to providing a stimulating and creative environment with many planned and spontaneous activities sparking your child's interest using the beautiful world around them.
Within my setting I have a spacious large conservatory setting room, separate sleep room and lush large garden. I have a dog, a few fish and chickens. I incorporate activities that involve our pets and other animals on our exciting and plentiful outings.
My Experience
My background is in childminding I have two children and enjoy working with children and being able to provide opportunities for learning through play ensuring the children in my care show developmental growth, confidence and independence.

To ensure the safety of your child/ren, I have enhanced disclosures (police clearance), paediatric first aid training and child-protection training. Introduction to Home-based childcare, and specific EYFS training.
I am constantly reviewing and updating my skill base and am always keen to demonstrate my skills effectively within my provision ensuring all EYFS and current childcare philosophy is practiced.

Holiday scheme and planned outings available for children aged 0 - 11yrs

Bex at Pickery’s has looked after our daughter Milly since the age of
The setting is like a home from home except with additional toys and a few other young people to play with. Oh, and chickens, with egg collecting a special treat.
Milly loves her days there and is always ready and eagerly waiting at the front door to go in the morning.
Bex takes the kids on regular outings to local Playgrounds, music groups and for walks on the forest. Milly has definitely become a true outdoors lover and developed great stamina as a result.
Educationally the setting has been the perfect precursor to school as Milly has a strong grasp of letters and numbers already. I was blown away the other day when she told me the time from our clock face. Turns out that Bex had been teaching her how to tell the time.
Communication between Bex and myself has been excellent and I have always felt that Pickerys is a safe, secure and stimulating environment for our little girl. I would highly recommend Pickerys if you want a small setting with a dedicated care giver. Bex is warm, friendly and reliable, and the children she looks after love her.
