Searching for part-time work from September/ October.
I have been working as a nanny for ten years and have experience with children from newborn through to nine years old. I have a first class degree in English Literature which I completed in 2016 and an MA in Early Modern History. I was home-educated until I was twelve and so I have a good knowledge of ideas such as child-led learning and a wealth of experience with different ways of learning at home. The ways in which children learn fascinates me and I view it as an honour to be able to guide them through gaining knowledge of the world they inhabit; their wonder at the world is one of my favourite parts of my job. I feel that it is important for children to be active and to have fun exploring but I am also very responsible and handle crises well. I am also fully first aid trained. I am familiar with all standard nursery duties and I enjoy cooking - I have the useful skill of making vegetables extremely tasty. I’m generally very calm and I take seriously children’s need for love, support and encouragement.
