About Me

I am a Childcare professional with over 25 years experience as a Private Nanny, and more recently a Childminder, with a recent Ofsted inspection rating of good. I have two children both now in their mid to late teens.

I am qualified to NVQ Level 3 in Childcare and have current certifications in Safeguarding Children, First Aid and Food Hygiene. I also have an Enhanced DBS (formerly CRB) Certificate.

I am passionate about delivering care that meets the whole needs of the individual child to ensure Social, Emotional, Health and Developmental needs are met. I have worked with children with a range of special needs, working with parents, teachers and other child and health care professionals to realise the potential of the child.

In addition to my work as a childminder, I also have worked in the local playgroup, taught in Sunday School. I believe children learn through experiences and am hands on in my approach, this includes attending local activities at libraries, Tumble Tots, Music and Drama, and Parks and Play Council events, these activities helping the child develop both social and life skills in addition to meeting their educational needs.

I recognise that parents and children face many conflicts between work and home life and aim to bridge those conflicts through providing a loving, safe and fun environment for the child whilst reflecting the aspirations of the parents for childcare through clear and open communication.
