My Summary

My Experience

I have had a lot of experience caring for others, within different settings. I first starting child minding when I was 14 years old, for a family friend, with two children aged 6 and 10. This was my first experience of caring for children, and from the very start I enjoyed every minute, although I found times challenging due to not being very old, I began child minding more and more, which included starting to child mind for other parents. My confidence grew quickly, and the ability I had to care for children progressed rapidly. I soon began handing out child minding leaflets to parents at the local primary school. Although, still very young a lot of parents admired my initiative, in which they contacted me and I began child minding for a Lady who lived only a few streets away.

After this experience I regularly child minded, for more families who contacted me. Some of which were one off, and some regular. As well as child minding, I also have experience of caring for adults, as I was a volunteer at Scunthorpe General Hospital for 6 months. The experience enabled my communication skills to develop to a very high level, as well as my ability to care for others within very different situations and environments.

I have vast amounts of experience as a nurse as well as during my nurse training.
